Trials-tasia

Living in East-Texas is a bit difficult for a trials rider, as we have no hills or rocks, on which, to practice riding. Occasionally the local creeks will dry up during the summer and allow us a little time practice on the small bluffs they provide.

March 01: Trials-tasia is our dream of a riding park devoted to "observed Trials" and spectators. It will be located on our home property and will be set in a small area in a "stadium" type format. The Main focus will be a large man-made dirt mound with flat areas of concrete slabs to work on. We intend to add Large Tractor tires, cable spools and concrete culverts as additional "sections". We are in the process of building the "hill" now, and will post pics as the project progresses.

September 01: Nicky brings home large rocks. And MORE Rocks!! We move in some culverts. Preston Thibodaux find some large skidder tires and helps me haul in 8 of them!

Nov 01: The local airport was rebuilding their taxi-way and we offered them a dump site for the dirt and asphalt. 5 days later they had delivered over 2000 cubic yards of FUN! A bulldozer and large back-hoe was rented for a week (thanks to Nicky Vowell!!) and 7 days of pushing and digging gave us something more to play with!!

Dec 01: Ray Peters come to Trialstasia and stays a couple of weeks. UNFORTUNATELY, he brought the rain with him and our riding time was between heavy storms.

Dec 31-01: Last day of the year we rode! Bill and Dan Newkirk, Randy Horton, Kim McCandles, Gary Sherwood, Jessica, Josiah, Aaron, yours truly!
